Hang Nguyen
B.S. Computer Science; M.S. Applied Mechanics with a focus on Air Quality Modeling; Ph.D. Air Pollution
​
Hang joined the lab in February 2020 and is interested in air pollution and investigating the behavior of particulate matter and gaseous pollutants (e.g., Hg, NOx, SO2) in various ambient environmental settings, estimating exposure to volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from indoor sources, and is currently focused on pollutant modeling particulate emissions from various sources.

Career Plans: To obtain my PhD and become a scientist in order to study how we can engineer cells to help combat neuro- and muscular degeneration and cellular senescence.

Beau joined the lab in July 2019 and is playing an integral role in organizing the lab and methods development for the chemical characterization of fine particulate matter. He now works with the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, GA.

Alex is now pursuing a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Mississippi
While in our lab Alex was first author on a publication submitted to Atmosphere.
